Soldiers of the Rhode Island National Guard are scheduled to leave the Ocean State today for deployment in Iraq.

Gov. Carcieri, by giving up so easily on sending troops to die in Iraq does them a great disservice: it puts them in harm's way and for profit, not the U.S. not its citizens, but the profits of the few.
