It's getting a bit tiring, but I open the Providence Journal each day, and there is not one, not two but almost always, three stories about how Gov. Carcieri, or someone in his administration has screwed up. Well, today was no different. Three stories:
1. How the governor doesn't want to testify in the fumbled Indian Smoke House Case. Steve Pare, former head of the State Police and one of my former MPA students testified that what the governor said then and now are at odds in this case.
2. RI bridges are the WORST in the nation. Carcieri has been governor for years now...we've know this is a problem, what has he done? NOTHING...he'd rather give big tax breaks to RI's 500 Richest rather than put that money into fixing our collapsing bridges...
3. Three times RI Hospital operates on the wrong side of someone's brain in the Carcieri term and this is the FIRST time HIS dept. of health calls for an investigation to prevent it from happening again and again and again. Come on, Governor, what does it take for your administration to take action?
