WHERE IS JACK REED? ALL RI WANTS TO KNOW

All the other RI super delegates have made their choice.  RI went overwhelmingly for Hillary...NOT OBAMA...why isn't Jack Reed backing the citizens of RI and endorsing Hillary Clinton?  Come on Jack...Obama may get the nomination, but it is not over yet....ENDORSE HILLARY....

BARACK OBAMA AND HIS LIES...NO ONE MENTIONS THEM

Finally, real and fair commentators are beginning to notice how Barack lies and no one says anything...let it be Hillary, and it goes on and on...For people like Matthews over at MSNBC, Hillary bashing has become a religion. Even if Obama is a good candidate and he is...it is clearly unAmerican to treat other candidates with the disdain that MSNBC (with a few exceptions) treats Hillary Clinton. MSNBC is becoming the new Fox and Matthews the new O'Reilly...too bad.....Here's what others are saying about this sad state of affairs:

Clinton’s misstatement about coming under fire in Bosnia — whether a memory lapse or a tall tale — was lamentable. But the stampede to portray her as a consummate liar, as opposed to everyone else on the campaign trail, was an extraordinary media pile-up.

No one made a big deal when Obama, eager to portray himself as an adopted Kennedy, said that his father had come to the United States thanks to Kennedy largess. In fact, the clan had nothing to do with it. Obama also claimed to have played a big part in crafting the immigration legislation, which even his ally Dodd said was not so.

Thank goodness for the independent voices that have called attention to the ongoing gang warfare against Clinton. The Washington Post’s media writer, Howard Kurtz, has listed the particulars of the obsessive “Hillary-bashing.” Over at CNN, the tenacious Lou Dobbs hacks nightly at the weak assumptions underpinning the agitprop that Clinton can’t possibly win.

Why do so few commentators worry about defending their Obama-centric viewpoints? Because much of the public has already been indoctrinated and believes them to be fact. The Obama campaign really knows how to plow those fields — those guys are good.more>>>

OBAMA WANTS US IN IRAQ UNTIL ALMOST 2011

The New York Sun is reporting that a key adviser to Senator Obama’s campaign is recommending in a confidential paper that America keep between 60,000 and 80,000 troops in Iraq as of late 2010, a plan at odds with the public pledge of the Illinois senator to withdraw combat forces from Iraq within 16 months of taking office. MORE>>>

I bet Mika and Chris Matthews don't mention this, LOL.....And why is Patrick Kennedy backing Obama who wants the war extended until nearly 2011?  After all, most R-Islanders want it ended and ended now.

OBAMA, WRIGHT AND GAY PEOPLE

The church attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) fought back Sunday against mounting criticism of its pastor, Jeremiah Wright, Jr., accusing the media of character assassination and “crucifixion.”

In a Friday column posted on The Huffington Post, Obama both rejected and condemned Wright's statements.

In the statement released to reporters, the new Pastor, Rev. Otis Moss said called criticism of Wright and the church an “attack on the legacy of the African American Church which led and continues to lead the fight for human rights in America and around the world.”

I'd like to believe that, but unfortunately, the African American Churches have been the most condemning of gay rights in the country and continue to be. Homophobia among African Americans is rampant, and the African American Churches have done very little if anything to change that. Will Obama, so tied to this mentality, work as hard for gay Americans as needs to be done?

THE OBAMA YOUTH VOTE FALLACY

The young don't vote in great numbers.  According to most analyses, the youth vote is well below 50% of those below 30 years old and eligible voters while their elders vote well over the 50% level.  All this talk about the youth vote being increased is true for some states.  However, people under thirty just don't vote, and the same truism holds for the 2008 Presidential primaries.

The latest stats from Pew et al. confirm this, as does Gary Langer who is the director of polling for ABC News when he states, "Overall, using what seems to us a reasonable approach, we’d say that on a state-by-state basis, turnout among voters under 30 is up a little in Democratic contests, and flat in Republican contests. In probably the simplest way to do this, in all 2008 Democratic contests to date, 18- to 29-year-olds have accounted for 14 percent of voters. That compares to an average of 12 percent in 1992, for states for which we have exit poll data – 2 points higher this year. (It was lower in 2004, 9 percent, and 2000, 8 percent, but looks to have been higher in the 1980s.)"

As an aside, certainly anecdotal, when Hillary came to RI she attracted 2-3000 mostly young people to the Rhode Island College Auditorium.  When Barack came a little later he attracted 10,000 people to the same auditorium.

Rhode Island went strongly for Hillary...those 10,000 didn't turnout in the actual election.

Young People Don't Vote in substantial numbers, unfortunately, and the same is true this year.  The numbers for those young voting have increased a couple of points, and nothing more.  Those crowds you see are nothing more than the excitement of youth that does not and never has translated into actual votes whether on primary day or in the general election.

Obama's real and only strength is the black vote.  Why shouldn't it be?  I can remember we Catholics voted en masse for John Kennedy back in the '60s.  AND he is an incredibly attractive candidate in terms of intelligence and his ability to identify problems.  Unfortunately for him, however, Hillary has the same abilities AND a track record of accomplishing the task of finding solutions to problems.  He doesn't have a track record YET...

BTW, Hillary garnered more of the young vote in massachusetts, california, oklahoma, arkansas, or she at least tied Obama.  Among the Hispanic young, she won.  We never hear that on MSNBC, LOL...they never show anything positive about Hillary...

OBAMA AND REZKO--MCLAUGHLIN SAYS IT WILL BE TROUBLE

The McLaughlin Group on Public Television this morning has had some really harmful perspectives expressed about Obama's handling of the Rezko Corruption matter.  Eleanor Clift who is generally supportive of the Obama candidacy has expressed concern that Obama has not handled this well.

Pat Buchanan stated that Obama has probably told the truth, "but not the whole truth."  A Chicago reporter on the panel this week also stated that he has not come totally clean on the Rezko issue and if Obama is called to testify by either the defense or the prosecution, his candidacy will be in trouble.

Obama is running on transparency, and some of us who would vote for him easily if he wins the nomination want to know why he isn't being totally transparent on this Rezko Corruption matter.  He has not been tied in anyway to the corruption so, why isn't he coming forward with answers?

THE MIDDLE AGED WOMAN WINS! YEAH!

Last night must have felt good to all those middle aged women of all races who by experience, intelligence and their great work ethic are displaced all too frequently in corporations, offices of all kinds, schools, hospitals, libraries, factories, etc., by the great-talking, handsome, exciting, new guy on the block who when compared to that middle aged woman he has no experience to speak of, with no more intelligence and with no more insights yet when it comes time for promotions, he gets the nod.  Hillary Clinton changed that scenario last night.

Hillary Clinton carried three out of four states last night and two of them by double digits.  I am happy to say that Rhode Island spoke up for women with experience and fortitude and voted squarely for Hillary Clinton as did Ohio and Texas.

This race goes on...and when the people are allowed to vote in elections, Hillary always wins.  When its a large, traditionally Democratic state, Hillary always wins unless it's the opponents home state, lol.

It's now time for the Super Delegates!  It is mathematically impossible for either Hillary or Barack to win the pledged delegates needed to get the nomination and some one needs to make the decision on who the Democratic nominee will be.  It's time for the process to play out as written and that means the Super Delegates now come into play.

I can't imagine that the Super Delegates would deny this to Hillary.

Barack outspent her 3-1 and sometimes 4-1 and couldn't win closure on the nomination.  Barack hasn't been able to win any of those states that are traditionally democratic and needed to win the presidency.  The Democratic traditional base of women, middle class and working class Americans, Latinos and those over 50 all went for Hillary and usually in every state.

In Denver or before, AFTER EVERY STATE HAS VOTED, the Super Delegates must decide who will be best for the party and the country and help to elect Hillary!

SUPER DELEGATES MUST DECIDE! OBAMA CAN'T CLOSE

Unless Barack Obama drops out because he can't get the number of needed pledged delegates by the time of the convention--it is a mathematical impossibility for Barack... AND whereas Hillary is the one who can win the vast majority of traditionally Democratic states that are vital to a Democratic win in November and Barack can't, the Super Delegates must decide.  Do they go with the winner of those traditionally Democratic HUGE STATES, Hillary, or with Barack who is untested and only won in traditionally RED, small states except for a couple.

This is the way the rules work.  The Super Delegates must decide who will be the nominee unless Barack steps forward and does what is right and drops out ....he can't close with the voters where we must have some one who can close.

HILLARY SHOULD NOT DROP OUT!  LET THE PEOPLE VOTE!  AND IT IS NOT AN UGLY RACE, EITHER, AS MATTHEWS IS CLAIMING.  If neither candidate can mathematically close, why should Hillary be the one to drop out?  LET THE PEOPLE VOTE AND THE SUPERDELEGATES DECIDE.

Let's just hope the Super Delegates don't give us another McGovern candidate...

Santorum: Obama Easier to Beat in General Election

Here is a video of former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum on Fox News discussing Barack Obama and the presidential campaign.  Santorum says Obama is a far-left idealogue (I like that, LOL) who he believes would be actually easier to beat in the general election than Hillary Clinton.

Thousands At Rally for Clinton

While Patrick Kennedy, a Barack Obama supporter, spoke to a few people in Pawtucket (most of the people were from Massachusetts btw--NOT Rhode Islanders--canvassers for Barack) THOUSANDS, at least two thousand people were in the RIC Auditorium today to hear the next president, Hillary Rodham Clinton.  The size of the crowd though lively and huge, could have been better, but it was great to see people of all ages, all colors, all genders, and all cultural backgrounds as excited as they were for Hillary.

She won thunderous applause for her emergency economic plan and--unlike Obama--her UNIVERSAL healthcare plan.

She faces an uphill battle against Obama and his forces from Massachusetts, LOL, but we hope for the best.  President Bill Clinton, the rock star of the democratic party will be here on Thursday.

It was great to see Sheldon Whitehouse and all those other democratic leaders at the rally.  Mayor Cicilline was disinvited because Hillary did not want the Firefighters with whom he is fighting to picket.  She is solidly union.  I was thinking about donating and voting for Cicilline for Governor, but unless he comes out in support of Hillary as he promised, or so I thought, I will rethink that....if he can't see that she is THE candidate who can accomplish more for us, I'm not impressed with his judgement.  He'll come around and BEFORE the primary on the 4th I hope.

Patrick said they are working on bringing in his father, Ted Kennedy, before the primary.  Nice, but Rhode Island wants Hillary and Patrick should be with us and let's hope that Ted, who I love, will be as effective for Obama in Rhode Island as he was in Massachusetts.  ;-)

"It takes a woman to end this war" as one of the signs at today's great rally stated, and that woman is Hillary!

Want social security left alone, vote for Hillary.  Want healthcare, vote for Hillary.  Want to save your house, vote for Hillary.  She has solutions not just verbiage.
